We went back to the wetlands to watch Grandma and Pa's airplane land before picking them up at the airport last Monday. It was actually fairly warm, but super windy, which made it feel bitterly cold.

And then there were two
teeth. And one ear infection. Poor little baby. She isn't always miserable. Just mostly. And she's having the hardest time falling asleep. She wants to be held and cuddled all.day.long. Who can blame her?

To make up for last time
I took 122 pictures since my last post. Don't worry, I picked out the best ones for you :)
We had a fun filled weekend, playing in the sunshine. Yesterday was sunnier but a bit colder. We went to the wetlands and watched airplanes. Gavin liked "riding on Daddy's head"
Out on the wetlands
Gavin liked wandering around in the frozen mush, playing with sticks
Being a boy
Today we went to Skater's Cabin where there is still *some* snow left. Gavin loved riding in the sled on the frozen lake
Again, Daddy! Again!
We explored the woods a little
Yummmm

Dear voices in my head
And anybody else who might try to make me feel guilty (cough, cough, Auntie...) for blogging without posting uber cute and adorable pictures of my lovely children that go perfectly along with the topic. Your objections have been noted. And ignored.
I had a fun day with my kids today. Grandma and Pa are out of town so I got to take the day off work and spend it with my family instead. We went to the glacier with our friends and played on the frozen paths for quite a while. Gavin and Corder had a great time with each other crawling, climbing, rolling, pounding, scooting, licking, sliding, jumping, and otherwise enjoying the frozen, icy snow. When we were all frozen solid, we warmed up at the visitor center where they enjoyed running wild, looking at bears, fish, birds, and all kinds of fun coloring and other activities in the kid's corner while the crawling babes rocked out on the floor.
Then we came back to our place for hot cocoa, "Dinosaur Rex" sandwiches (the boys each ate THREE!) and homemade sushi for lunch. Surprisingly, the little ones fell asleep on the way back to the house and slept through until Abbey and family went home. Both us mommies frantically ran back into the bedroom multiple times *sure* one of the two was awake, but they both kept sleeping away.
Aurora finally woke up when Gavin went down for a "rest" (since he didn't want to nap! afterall) and I spent a couple hours playing with her until Gavin got up. When Daddy got home we had movie night and took a bath, then played a little and put them to bed, after a little rough housing on mommy and daddy's bed that resulted in both kids in sobbing wailing tears. Shhhh. Don't tell Daddy I told you about that one. He felt bad enough when he threw Gavin nose first into sister's head. Poor kids, and poor Daddy. But the icing on today's cake? They both fell asleep! And are still sleeping....ahhh the little joys.
I didn't get a single picture of the fun today. Not even both three year old "helping" me make sushi or them laying in the snow, licking the ground, or in the visitor center talking to the fish, or eyeing the bear (Gavin wasn't too sure about it, despite repeating over and over "it ISN'T scary"). Or Thalen kissing Rora. Bummer. I guess my camera took the day off too.

Ready, set...
CRAWL! She's been army crawling since mid-December, but tonight was the first time she actually got up and used both her hands and her knees. She was as excited as I was, squawking away about it as she discovered her new skill.

I was reprimanded again
This time for not blogging at all... o_O
Been a busy busy week at work and on top of that I've misplaced my camera cord. So I bring you old pictures but new news. We still have only one tooth, but Daddy watched Little Miss pull up on a mini-chair all by her self. Growing up too fast, that one.
Some pre-tooth photos of her enjoying her Christmas present
And driving with Daddy
And since we're posting old photos, here is another old one for comparison's sake. How can they both be so darn cute?!?

I was reprimanded
For blogging without posting a pic. Since the tooth is too tiny to capture on camera yet, you will have to enjoy these cute shots of her sticking out her tongue, which she seems to enjoy even more than Gavin did (does?)
And chewing on her toys, which is another favorite activity around here. Look at those luscious eyes!

Christmas Morning
We had a ton of fun on Christmas Morning. Stocking first, of course. (They just had a *few* things in their stocking. They weren't overflowing with presents or anything, lol)
Followed by breakfast (homemade Cinnamon Rolls, mmmmmm) and then, finally, presents! Gavin was such a good sport, but was pretty ready by the time we got to his...First we made him wait for breakfast, then for Daddy to get out of the shower, then for Heidi to join us, then we opened one of Daddy's presents first. "NOW can we open it?!?"
Ok, go ahead!
How do you make a three year old boy happy on Christmas?
Santa should bring him a train table!
Uncle uncle can play with him
This one pretty much brings tears to my eyes when I see it :) I just love the look on his face. Merry Christmas to all!

We had so much fun with Gavin this Christmas. It was magical and fun, and he was so excited and adorable. But apparently, our tree decorating skills were not up to three-year-old standards. He thought it looked a little barren without Turner, the screwdriver
Or a race car or two
I wanted to post these the second I took them, but couldn't, as he was helping make presents
He had so much fun measuring, dumping, and of course, smashing!

We loved having Auntie, Uncle Uncle Forrest and Heidi here for one last Christmas at Grandma & Pa's big house. And missed all our other Aunties, Uncles, and Grams in Oregon. More pictures coming soon, I promise ♥
